Duke University, DUKE

Created in 2008 with funding from the National Science Foundation and the US Environmental Protection Agency, CEINT performs fundamental research on the behaviour of nano-scale materials in laboratory and complex ecosystems. Research includes all aspects of nanomaterial transport, fate and exposure, as well as ecotoxicological and ecosystem impacts. Additionally, CEINT is developing risk assessment tools to provide guidance in assessing existing and future concerns surrounding the environmental implications of nanomaterials. Duke University, Center for the Environmental Implications of NanoTechnology (CEINT): will coordinate work on nanoinformatics platform and functional assay development.

Role in the project:

DUKE will contribute to environmental fate experimental activities in WP2 and will be strongly involved in the international collaboration activities between EU and USA in WP7.
