International collaboration for global impact

Objectives

To facilitate international research cooperation (especially with the USA) on the topics of relevance for SUNSHINE. To ensure that the results of SUNSHINE achieve global impact.

Methodology

WP7 will establish a close scientific cooperation with non-European countries (especially with USA). SUNSHINE will allocate resources to allow scientists from EU to visit non-EU partners. Similarly, our non-EU partners will send their staff to EU participants using their own resources. This will ensure synergistic exchange of knowledge and methods on global scale. Moreover, WP7 will collaborate with WP8 to facilitate the engagement of and the dissemination of SUNSHINE results to international stakeholders from industry, regulation and academia in order to achieve global impact. This mwill be done by exploiting the full range of outreach and dissemination capacities of the project (cf. WP8) as well as using important channels such as the NanoSafety Cluster and the US-EU NanoEHS CoRs.

Key Outcomes

Scientific results based on synergistic collaboration on a global scale; dissemination of the project results beyond EU to achieve global impact.
