Avanzare Innovacion Tecnologica SL (AVAN) with head office in Spain is a company specialized in the development and commercialization of advanced materials. The company is growing, and it has built a production plant of 10.000 m2 devoted to the production of graphene. AVAN is participating in the European Flagship of Graphene, where composites based on polymeric materials are prepared with the enhancement of different properties.

Role in the project:

In the SUNSHINE project, Avanzare will propose a case study in which the modification of the surface of graphene oxide aiming to reduce toxicity will be analysed. In addition, AVAN will provide these materials for testing the effectiveness of the safe by material design modifications as well as for providing case-study-specific information for modelling purposes, and for developing and testing the grouping and read-across approaches. AVAN will also participate to the project’s Industrial User Committee and will support the testing of the usability/feasibility of the SIA e-infrastructure from the industry perspective.
