Fundación TECNALIA Research & Innovation (TECNALIA) is the leading private and independent research and technology entity in Spain and the fifth largest in Europe.
TECNALIA partnered in 377 projects, coordinating 81 of them. In H2020, TECNALIA is similarly active and participates in 295 projects, coordinating 61 of them, up to December 2019. It is a member of EARTO and of EUROTECH, linking together the most important research organisations in Europe. TECNALIA actively participates in standardization on nanotechnologies through International, European and Spanish Standardization technical committees, such as ISO/TC 229 (Member), CEN/TC 352 (Member) and UNE GT15 (Chair). TECNALIA is also involved in the Nanosafety Cluster activities through the Working Group E “Innovation and Safer by Design”.
Role in the project:
In SUNSHINE, main research activities to be carried out by TECNALIA will be concentrated on WP5, T5.3 (Task leader); where the use of Digital Twins (DTs), as a disruptive digital technology for the design and re-design of safer nanomanufacturing process in accordance with acceptable regulatory risk levels, will be investigated.
